SkinPerennial herb Height: 30-50 cm (1) Leaves: Lanceolate to narrow elliptical, attenuated into a sheathing base, obscurely serrate or crenate, obtuse, scattered-pilose, glabrescent (1), glands visible on the underside of the leaf-blade (3) Flowers: Capitulescences terminal and axillary, narrow bullet-shaped capitula (or heads) 1 - 4 aggregated in clusters supported by foliaceous bracts, clusters arranged in a spike; florets are bisexual and fertile with white petals, anthers fused to one another with white pollen (2,3). Fruits: Achene, 10-ribbed, shortly ascending-pubescent, pappus or bristle in one series, often of 2 sizes and bent at the tip (1,2)
