Flowers: Panicles of greenish-yellow flowers with deciduous bracks arise from new growth or leaf axils (1) Fruits: The berry fruit ranges from spherical to pyriform or pear-shaped, with a large central seed surrounded by a buttery, yellow-green pulp (1,2). Its color, when ripe, is green, black, purple, or reddish, depending on the variety (2), speckled with tiny yellow dots, could be smooth or pebbled, glossy or dull or leathery (3)
