Bagew (old man's beard)
Usnea Japponica Vain
Kidneypale grayish-green fruticose lichens Height: Lichens do not have a typical height as they are not structured like plants with distinct stems and leaves. They usually form crust-like patches, leaf-like structures, or branching structures that can vary in size and shape depending on the species. Leaves: Lichens do not have leaves either. The leaf-like structures you may observe are called thalli, which are composed of layers of fungal filaments (hyphae) containing the photosynthetic cells of the algae or cyanobacteria. Flowers: Usnea lichens reproduce via vegetative means through fragmentation, asexual means through soredia, or sexual means through ascogonium and spermatogonium Fruits: Lichens do not produce fruits or seeds.
