Coleus atropurpureus Benth.
AntisepticHerbaceous perennial, but is usually treated as an annual. Height: Grow to be about 12 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 12 inches. Leaves: Leaves are variously blotched and opposite sometimes contorted pendulous, generally the more dark red in the leaf, the better the tolerance for sun. Their soft, rather thin leaves very considerably in shape, size and colour red. Flowers: Blue to lilac colored flower spikes. Such flowers as they produce have little decorative value and are best nipped out when they are still developing; this procedure will help to keep the plants bushy. Fruits: Not provided
