SkinA tree Height: 10 meters or more Leaves: Leaves are alternate, petioled, leathery, entire (though often lobed when young) , broad near the tip, pointed at the base, 10 -20 cm long , and 3 to 12 cm wide. Leafcolor is dark green and the underside is glabrous. Flowers: Male flowers are in club shaped or cylindrical heads 3 to 7 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter. They occur above the female flowers at the terminals or axils on young branches. Male flowers are green, tubular, fragrant, and 1 to 1.5 mm long. Fruits: The fruit is a syncarp 25 to 60 cm long which can weigh up to 35 kg. The green, oblong, fleshy fruits is covered with short, spine like projections.
